Her Light

A Life That Shines On

Athena Presley Monroe Strand was seven years old β€” a happy, spirited little girl from Paradise, Texas, who loved her family fiercely and filled every room she entered with laughter. She was a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, a friend, and a classmate whose smile left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.

In December of 2022, thousands of people β€” strangers and neighbors alike β€” searched for her, prayed for her, and wrapped her family in love. That outpouring of care revealed something true: one small child can move an entire community.

This memorial exists for one purpose β€” to make sure the world never forgets her name. Not the circumstances of her death, but the light of her life. Athena is remembered here, always, as she should be: beloved, celebrated, and eternal.
